Microneedling FAQ’s

  • Microneedling is a non-surgical cosmetic skin treatment that uses an electric handheld device with tiny, sterile needles to create micro-channels in the skin. This stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping to improve texture, tone, and firmness. It is a natural, more affordable, gentle alternative to botox and facelifts.

  • Microneedling can reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, sagging skin, and hair loss.

  • A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to keep you comfortable. Most clients describe it as a light vibration or prickling sensation. The skin may feel like a mild sunburn post-treatment.

  • Avoid retinol, exfoliating acids, and tanning for a few days prior. Avoid chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser treatment, and waxing the treatment area for at least 2 weeks prior. Arrive with clean skin and no makeup.

  • After cleansing and numbing, a handheld microneedling pen (as pictured) is passed over the treatment area. A serum of hyaluronic acid and vegan stem cells are then applied, along with red light therapy, to boost results.

  • You may have redness or mild swelling for 24-48 hours. SPF protection will be necessary during this time due to increased sensitivity. You will also need to avoid showering, sweating, wearing makeup, and applying skin products beyond a gentle cleanser during this period.

  • Most people see improvement after one session, but a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart give best results.
